The WCS Winter Holiday party was a huge success!
A big thank you to Tazikis Mediterranean Cafe, Captain D's, Padrino's Pops, Kroger, Dreams Do Come True Princess Parties, Santa, Anthony Swank (professional photographer) and Full Life Church.  All of the generosity of our community partners really made the day special for the Transition II students of WCS.

Christmas Painting Class

Today the students got a special treat. We had a guest artist from the community come into the class and walk us through painting a Winter picture for their parents.  

Every student got the opportunity to create a masterpiece!

Each picture is a little different but they are all beautiful.

This is our guest teacher, local artist, Kristen Reed.  

JR LOVED painting.  When he finished his picture he just kept painting on plain paper.  

It is nice to find new activities the students enjoy doing.

Jose made a beautiful piece of art for his Mom.

Turkey, cranberry sauce, mash patoto and sweet potato casserol, corn casserol, home made bread with honey butter and apple butter....
All are my favorite foods from heaven!  But most of all it was about family and friends and having my Aunt Sheila and Uncle Gary there.

Sprout Film Festival 2014 in Franklin, Tn

We attended the film festival in Franklin, TN. in the downtown theater.  The films were made by people with dissabilities about poeple with dissabilities.  Some were funny and some were inspirational, but most were stories that were from the heart.  My favorite film was called "LOVE" and it was about a little boy and a little girl.  The little boy was about 3 years old and had a dissibility and he had an older sister.  The film was about there relationship.  I liked the ending because the little boy was asked why he loved his sister, and he said he loved grilled cheese.

I attended the Film Festival with my Gram and it was so good!
