this year in transition we are cooking in the classroom

for the first month we will complete the employer servey

we are starting new school projects this year
this year we will run a copy service and the personal shoppers
on friday we did the shopping for the common grounds coffee shop and eagles nest
this week we wil tour the library ad ride the trolly
on friday we will vote for transition student council
this year we will work in new jobs in cluding williamson county medical center and belvedere commons
this year we will partispate in an actor guild
there is a lot to look forward to

Year in Review - Movie

This year has been an amazing school year for all of us here at IHS Transition II program. We started the year off with two new assistants; Cathy Harter and Sara Newcome. Plus, we had an interim teacher, Bo Hayes, that took over the reigns while Mrs. Huffmaster was on materity leave.
We went to a ton of places and did many spectactular things throughout this year. Many students grew up more and learned their jobs with amazing growth towards their future beyond IHS. This year we have two students that we said goodbye to this year, Preston Edmonson and Jordan Wixon. Both are moving onto adult programs in the Nashville area. We are so proud of them both.

This year was so amazing it was difficult to fit it all into one little film. So we went big.....Thank you for your support this year.

Embassy Suites - Cool Springs

This year one of our students here in IHS transition II program had a great opportunity to work at Embassy Suites in Franklin, TN. He was able to learn most of the job responsibilities that pertain to working at Embassy. Like most students in the program Jose began in the laundry room and worked his way up to each level. He help clean rooms, lobby, and banquet setup and serving. For Jose it was a great experience. He loves to work at "the hotel" and is always excited when he returns to campus. He's so excited to explain what his daily tasks were that day. He logged in each day for work on time, signed what areas he worked in and reported to a boss to find out how to do his tasks.

Jose is one of those personalities that is excited to work. He loves his jobs. He will work tirelessly for his job. As a way to celebrate an exciting and fun year for all the students and employees at Embassy Suites, "The Hotel" threw a small little party. As Jose said, "Pizza made my stomach full." In other words, it was good and fun. A huge thank you to Embassy Suites for such a wonderful school year. All of the students and Jose really had a blast. Until next year...
