Transition 2 Student Council Elections

The Transition students of Williamson Co gathered to meet one another at the beginning of a new year.  This year we chose to begin a student council.  All IHS Transition students gave a speech in front of their classmates and then voted one representative.  Initially Nila and Jose tied so a tie braking vote was taken and Nila was voted class representative.
At the county party all class representatives were presented and required to give a speech in front of all of their peers from the county.  Our Nila was voted Sergeant at Arms, which is one of only three offices in the student council.

Here is an example of a speech given by our classmate Ashley:
"I feel I am best suited for this position because I am great at helping my teachers and classmates.  If you vote for me, I will help you out any way I can.  That is why I am the best person for the job.  Thank you."

Nila Huddleston:
Hello
My name is Nila Huddleston. I am 19 years old. I am in the Transition 2 at Independence High School. I live with my family and we have fun together. I like to go out to eat and go to the movies and go to the Nashville zoo. I have worked at Our Thrift Store, Tractor Supply and this year I will work at Embassy Suites.

I like my School and I love my Teacher, Ms. Lauren Huffmaster and Cathy, Sarah, and Chad. I like my friends in class and I like to learn about new jobs. I like Transition Class!

I am running for President of student council of the Transition 2 Program. If you vote for me I am going to work hard, listen to your ideas, write notes, and plan fun activities. I want to be your voice for Transition 2 and I hope you vote for me.

VOTE Nila Huddleston!
Thank you
